Who: Diana & Troy When: April 3rd, 2008 Where: Indoor Pool What: Going for a swim Status: in progress Rating: PG-13
Diana stepped lightly into the pool area, clad in a royal blue one piece Speedo swim suit with a very large towel over her arm. Her hair was tied tightly into a pony tail. She took a deep breath in and sighed in joy as the chlorinated water smell washed over her. It had been way too long since she had been swimming. Down here wasn't as good as outside but it was still way too cold for going outside. So, she had decided to grab Troy, her defacto swim buddy, and head on down here.
Troy's towel was hanging over his neck and his black X-shorts swished as he walked behind Silver. As they neared the water, he grew more comfortable. It was always a good feeling - going swimming. He was in the pool a lot, indoors or out, and all year. Temperature didn't make much difference to Torrent. His pace didn't slow, and as Diana moved for an entrance to the water, he stepped right up to the edge and didn't falter. He walked half a step over the water and fell in, feet first. When he re-emerged, he pushed back his longer-than-usual hair from his eyes and spun a half circle to find his company.
Diana laughed and kept walking. With a toss her towel was thrown on a nearby chair. She stepped up onto the diving board and readjusted the settings. Holding onto the rails she did a few bounces. "Look out below!" She warned before going into a hurdle and executing an excellent cannon ball.
"You've been practicing!" Troy remarked. He loved swimming with Diana - she was a better athlete than most of the other lasses. She could give him a run for his money in the water. When she surfaced, he added, "Bravo." He bobbed in place and pushed a small wave toward her, playfully. It lifted the girl up and popped her back down. "When all this blows over, I'm starting a water park." He grinned, then winked at her, "You can be on the billboards, or the snack shop mascot. Too bad the clientele'd look more like Logan."
She loved the water and felt very comfortable spending hours diving or swimming. She easily rode the wave back, enjoying the experience. "Billboards? Come on, you’d want someone like Jean, Lorna, Ororo or Betsy. Hot looking babes in bikini's." She knew she just wasn't anywhere near their league in 'hotness'. She dove down and swam towards Troy, splashing him as she came back up. "I'll be your lifeguard for when you decide to drown all those bratty kids."
"Hey," Troy raised his hands both to block the water and to fend off her accusation, "I'll be in an office counting my dollars." He shook his head, "By the way things are going, they'll all be old bags before we can worry about something like a water park. And hey, you've got the swimmer look. But yeah, when I visit, the first kid that runs when there's a walk sign is getting a lung full of pee-water." Troy pushed back and moved a few feet, spreading his arms wide. He pushed forward and splashed her naturally - no powers. "They don't look like they'd go to a water park, anyway. Too much makeup. And heels. They're all like, 5'10", I'm not sure why they have to wear heels. Make a brother feel tiny."
Diana arched back, dolphin kicking a wave of water at Troy. When she came back up from her backwards dive she shook her head. "Hellcat or Zap then. Everyone knows billboards are about babes and not actual skill or interest. It's all about the looks." Which she didn't believe she had. "I'm too much of a jock, so I guess you don't have to worry about me trying to make you feel small because I'm not about to go about wearing those neckbreaker heels. I wouldn't do that to you, or myself for that matter." With a grin she leapt towards Troy in an attempt to dunk him.
"You're too down on yourself, chica." He shook his head and then took in a deep breath before she dunked him down. And she succeeded - but only because he didn't mind. He shot his hands out under the water and squeezed his hands around her hips in the sensitive spot where the legs bend. A large trail of bubbles erupted from his mouth when he laughed out his victory under the water. He popped back up and let out a chuckle, "You'd do fine, trust me," he shook his head and the water in his hair flung off on either side and he wiped his face free of droplets. "I'm surprised you haven't been snatched up yet." The water under her feet began to bubble like a jet.
She was about to answer his accusations when he dove down. Diana gave a large surprised squeal when he touched her. Had it been anyone else, she would have been terribly enraged. But it was Troy, she trusted and liked him where she didn’t trust many others. When he came back up she said. “You… you… I can’t believe you DID that!” There was humor in her voice, saying she wasn’t angry or going to hold it against him. She squealed again when the bubbles started up. “Hey that tickles.” She laughed. She dove down through the bubbles, letting the feeling wash across her skin, and back out popping up next to Troy. “You’d have to be the only one who’d think I was a catch, what with my temper and my silvery weirdness.” Plus she wasn’t really the type to let people close enough to catch her. She looked him in the eyes and braved forward. “And you’re the only one I can think of who I’d let catch me.” She bit her lip and looked anxious after admitting that small truth.
