"Hey." Zap greeted her roomie, tiredly.
"Hey, what's up?" Eddie was sitting at the computer when her roommate entered and hardly looked over until Zap answered.
"Just ate with Pete." The electrokine plopped down on the edge of her bed to untie her shoes. She hated shoes.
"Oh. Cool." Eddie swiveled in the chair away from the monitor to face into the room. "Is that my sweater?" It was. It was one of her favorites, too.
"Yeah, I borrowed it. That's okay, right?" She kicked off the shoes and began peeling off her socks. "Pete liked it, he said the green looked nice with my eyes."
"That's fine. How long have you been wearing it?" Eddie stood and moved closer to her bed, opting to busy her hands with some of the laundry that was strewn across it and ready for the wash.
"All day. Why?" Zap quirked an eyebrow and narrowed her eyes slightly.
"No, nothing. It's just probably stretched out." Eddie shrugged. Sweaters stretched, it was a fact. And Zap's build was larger than hers.
"I can... wash it." Zap stood now too, eyeing Hellcat at the foot of her own bed. She pulled the sweater off over her head and tossed it across to Eddie's bed.
"Will that shrink it back?" Eddie reached out and caught the green garment before it landed with the other clothes.
"... It should. Damn. No wonder Brian broke up with you. You've had a crappy attitude for a while."
"What the hell?!" Snikt. Hiss. Within moments, Eddie's stature rose and her features grew more feral.
Immediately, Zap winced and moved a few steps backwards. Pop! Spark!
"Take that back," Edana insisted with her deepened, cat-like voice; claws extended.
Zap's eyes were once again narrowed and she raised her chin after evaluating the situation. "Hell no."
Hellcat's feline features moved up into a sneer and she crouched, her tail swishing with annoyance behind her. Her hair was growing wildly out of the sloppy up-do she'd had it in and one tendril hung in a wave in front of her right eye. "Take... it... back," she repeated, through pointy, gritted teeth.
"No." Zap was standing four or so feet in front of their half-open door now, holding her hands to her sides, a few inches out from her hips. Her hair was menacingly levitating and popping with light from the top of her head to the tips of her brunette tresses. Her palms began to glow with gathered power.
Eddie didn't respond, she leapt. The catwoman pounced from her crouched position and cleared her own bed, landing at the foot of Zap's bed. Maintaining a fluid movement, she pushed herself forward with the momentum of her landing and extended a clawed hand toward Zap's face.
Zap stumbled backwards a step and raised both hands as Eddie jumped for her. Edana was mid-swipe when Zalika let loose and hit her in the shoulder with a jolt.
UMPH! Eddie hit the floor in the same position she'd been in through the air, arm extended. She let out a displeased 'raaaarn' noise, but quickly recovered from the low-voltage attack. With the same extended arm, she drew back and aimed at Zap's ankles, knocking the other woman to the ground.
WHOMP! Zap landed on her hip and elbow, with the wind knocked out of her lungs. Her head had knocked back into the door, slamming it shut behind her.
Eddie scampered forward and climbed on Zap while there wasn't a charge in the air. If she hadn't taken the other woman down, it probably would've meant a kick to the face. She curled her clawed fingers around Zap's wrists and pinned her there.
Okay - breathe. The catwoman was looking down on her with fire in the eyes and Zap could hardly catch a breath. When she finally recovered from the fall, she focused her efforts at her own wrists and let loose up into Edana's hands.
Hellcat jerked back, still straddling Zap's stomach. Her hands clenched and loosened, attempting to regain feeling and strength.
Zap took the opportunity to left her legs and knock Eddie off to the side.
A scuffle broke out that ended the life of one of their desk lamps and severely frightened their pets.
