Bloodlust: The Wolverine Returns
Who: Logan OT Wisdom, Nightcrawler, Grease Monkey, Barrier, Multiple Man, Colossus, Warpath, Gambit (open to anyone on the teams and others so long as you contact me first :D )
What: Logan got his metal, and now he's out for blood. Xavier's blood.
When: Sunday, March 28th (FORWARD DATED)
Where: The Haven
Warnings: Violence and possible gore.
Since March 15th, a series of little-known underground scientists prominently featured in the original Perfect Soldier Project began to turn up dead. Their deaths were gruesome and obviously violent, and no one could think of any other explanation than an animal attack, although they were not bitten and the claws left no traces of bone particulates to be found. The edges of some of the cuts were smooth enough to have been done by a high precision instrument, but the sheer savagery of the way they were mostly gutted and torn apart indicated an inhuman perpetrator. Had they been all together in one place when this happened, more clues might have given a clearer picture, but since their work was classified at the highest levels, nobody put the pieces together across three state lines and with no known relation between the slaughtered men.
In a very short amount of time, James Howlett's healing factor had repaired the severe physical trauma of having white-hot, liquefied adamantium bonded with his bones. He was now about one hundred and twenty pounds heavier than he had been without the adamantium, but apparently either Sinister's or the science team's genetic intervention had compensated for it, and so Logan was now much stronger. It was enough of a strength and agility increase to leave him just as spry, agile and as deadly a martial artist as he had been before the bonding process.
The man also known as Logan had been imprinted with a whole guild of assassins' worth of strategy and experiences due to the PSProject's machinations, and Sinister had taken the opportunity to implant a number of targets in there for him to hit. He had been expecting the unbreakable, unkillable mutant to escape the Project soon enough. What better than an assassin who could not be stopped and that he didn't even have to pay? The PSProject had made things almost too easy for anyone with that kind of Machiavellian mindset and access to take advantage like this. Someone definitely had.
Logan still had blood caked under his fingernails when he ditched the stolen vehicle that had brought him all the way to Westchester from his last kill in the Catskills. He had been going like a speed demon, a part of him knowing that after this last target, there was no more programming and he could disappear into the woods where none would bother him. His brain was so damaged; what with the physical obstructions left behind and trapped inside his adamantium skull so that his body couldn't reject them and spit them out like any other foreign body; that he might border the intelligence level of a Neanderthal when it came to language skills while keeping enough cognitive skills to be functional: a living weapon. He thought in images. He saw the victims' faces, the faked sensory input, vivid like so many phantom limbs telling him where to go next and how to get there.
Before him lay the Haven.
