Ric was caught somewhere between the desire to curl into a ball and tremble and the need to hit something. Havok arrived first, and Ric managed to neither tremble nor resort to violence, but he did grab tightly at Havok's arm, his eyes still wide with fear. His grip was tight, white knuckled in panic as he stared intently at Alex.
"I can't feel anyone! Anything! I can't feel it, man!" Rictor's rant likely made very little sense to anyone, as he had not even discussed his earth empathy with Shatterstar, he really did not even have a good description of it himself. Now that it was gone, however, he felt it strongly, the stark isolation that threatened to crush him. "What the hell, it's gone!" His voice was high and thin, a small bit of blood seen blooming from the hole which the dart had pierced.
"Star!" He shouted roughly as the redhead appeared. He clutched suddenly at Star's body almost blindly as if needing to be closer. "It's gone! I can't feel it, I can't feel anything. I can't... I can't..." he pulled one hand away from Shatterstar and put it toward the earth. No matter how hard he focused, it did not move, did not tremble, his trademark green energy did not even form around him. "I'm--I'm--I'm powerless!" He croaked out around a suddenly bone dry throat. He was so preoccupied by the sudden loss of his powers and empathy that he had all but forgotten the fight around them, forgot about the danger, he was hardly even aware that he was being moved.
