Xavier knew better than to push. Besides, once the connection was made, he couldn't help but 'overhear' surface thoughts, especially when they were as loud and ambivalent as Forge's. He paused for a moment and said in his kindest, most neutral mental voice, "I will be in the receiving room next to the foyer if you do decide to see the place for yourself."
From what little he saw of Forge's preoccupation with his own ability, Xavier was quite fascinated with the possibilities. He almost contacted Erik out of habit, to share this exciting new information with his old friend. But at the last moment he caught himself and didn't. He also carefully shielded so that his concern would not bleed over into Forge's mind. Things hadn't... been well between him and Magneto of late. It seemed like the strain of persecution was slowly but surely polarizing their projected policies in different directions.
Alas, it was a worry for another moment. He made sure he had some tea and water delivered to the receiving room and made his way there. If Forge didn't come in, he would then make it known to Erik and he could go about recruiting him his way.
