James nodded at that, fully agreeing that the younger man needed some rest. "No apology needed. You'll probably have nightmares for a bit. No shame in that."
The first couple times he woke he'd find that James hadn't moved, stretched out on his own bed with the shotgun at his side. The next time, though, the big man was was sitting in a chair near Justin's bed. The shotgun was laying across his lap, and if the younger man woke up enough he might realize there was a glass of water and a package of what looked like saltines on the small table next to Justin's bed. "Have a drink, and a cracker. Will help with the stomach pain, and wake you up enough to chase back nightmares."
