Who: Xavier OT Angel & Ghost
What: Roommate situation and other X-business
When: Backdated to Early morning, before the Circus thread
Where: Xavier's office
Warnings: TBD
Xavier had scheduled an early meeting with his X-man Angel, and also with Ghost. The purpose of the meeting was twofold. He wanted, first of all, to gauge the relationship between Justin and his new roommate. There was no way he would let that gentle boy go through the horror of another Vulcan again. Not if he could help it. Even Xavier, who was all about second chances, had balked at Erik's decision to give the Summers boy a second chance. But Erik was right. They couldn't afford to lose Alex too, so better to try and tame the beast and keep him where they could see him. Xavier had no doubt that, without the Haven, Gabriel Summers would soon make a mistake that would be costly for all mutantkind. This was to be avoided. Still, Ghost's safety was also a concern, and he would personally make sure the boy stayed as safe as could be within these walls. Especially someone as brave as this curious invisible boy.
Justin had taken a big chance, with great risk to himself, in his quest to prove himself to him and Erik. There had been two ways they could have dealt with him. Chastise him for acquiring information they sorely needed, or promote him to one of the teams, where they could keep a closer eye on him and get him better trained for this type of thing. It was unlikely that they would be able to stop the invisible boy from ever sneaking out and doing this again, so it was for the best to simply equip him with the right tools for the job. He had a sinking feeling as an image of the Crusades came to mind, with children fighting children to back the power plays of the already powerful. It wasn't fair, but they were out of time to prepare for what was coming. It was necessary. That was the undesirable bottom line. Either they used the tools at their disposal, or the mutant race would face extinction before it had been able to take its very first steps in this hostile world.
He himself had a date with destiny that could not be avoided, but he could do that after he tied up a few loose ends here at the Haven. He sat placidly, sipping on his tea while he waited for the children to arrive.
