Re: Storm/Cyclops/Shadowcat/OPEN
Kitty was surprised that Jamie – or Xavier, for that matter – had waited this long to call a meeting. She had been doing detective work trying to figure out her and Toby's shared dream, but she hadn't gotten very far. Wolverine was notoriously difficult to find. From what she had figured out, he drifted in and out, and everyone else kept a list of things to yell at him when they caught him.
As Jamie gave a little team leader speech, she gave him her full attention. She had been genuinely supporting him lately; at least, she was trying. A lot of the other team members held back their enthusiasm for a new leader for whatever personal agenda they were trying to push instead, and while she didn't blame them, she just wanted there to be some semblance of stability in her life. Tobias had given her that for a little while – someone who would be truly interested in her life at the end of the day, but things had been a bit tumultuous for them lately. She probably let the whole him being a criminal thing slide to help settle it down, but she had noticed him pulling away. Or maybe she was. In fact, she hadn't heard from him in the past few days.
She shook off the thought and started listening in on the conversations sprouting up around the table. Sitting near her roommate, she leaned forward and put her hand on her chin, semi-eavesdropping on her and Jamie. If she recalled correctly, Kitty had dreamt about Jamie for a bit, but not Laura. He had some weapon, was leading the team, talking about someone's death, when Wolverine and Kitty broke off from the group and went into a building. She waited for a good moment to agree with Laura and offer another viewpoint when she heard Scott.
“Seriously?” She asked incredulously, a bit too loudly, and a bit rudely over Storm, with whom Scott had actually been conversing. “What kind of bomb?” Okay, dumb question. “Was anyone hurt?”
