"And you've been making new friends." she replied, amusement in her tone. She held onto the girl's arm in an effort to keep close. It was nice to have someone to hold onto when you were blind, at least to the world around you.

The time had come and passed in captivity and she had come to accept that it wasn't in her future. Though that wouldn't keep her from acquiring children along the way.
"Coffee, I think." Her lips twitched. She didn't think, she knew. She already saw herself and Ruth settled in their respective spots with their drinks in front of them, so it wasn't a surprise when the present caught up with the future she had seen. "Now, I want to hear all about your latest exploits." It was sort of fun, pretending to be normal, and it was always better to hear things from a loved one's perspective. That and it was keeping the upsetting images of future deaths away for the time being.
