It was fine with her to leave it in the Professor's capable hands, but one thing she knew, just from being in a group with others, people were going to talk and misinformation tended to spread quickly. Better to be on the horse than dragged behind it as her Father used to say.
She watched Jamie move about in his own semi-distracted way, all too aware of how strange it could be to be in control. Responsible for everything. It was a lot to deal with. At least Jamie had a dozen extra shoulders to help him with his load. When she'd been in charge, it had been just her for the most part. It gave her a respect for the position and a grudging respect for Jamie himself.
