His eyes narrowed when she flicked that light on. To be bathed suddenly in light, no matter if it was a sliver or whole roomful, was always a bit annoying for him. He kept his eyes squinted and allowed the shadows under her bed to rise up and cloak his legs. Tendrils danced up to his knees and paused there in a sharp angle.
"If I don't tell you now I'm going to tell you later and if I tell you later you're just going to wonder why I didn't tell you now. I'm trying to be honest," he defended himself, trying to keep his tone from being too rude.
He sighed and ran a hand up over his face and through his hair.
"Anything I get paid to steal or want. I don't usually need anything myself but if someone wants something stolen I do it. Jewelry, money.. the normal stuff."
