The man had a sense of humor, that was good. Perhaps a bit self-deprecating, but after dealing with those who thought they were God's gift, a guy who wasn't completely full of himself was wonderful.
"Dere's somet'ing to be said for particular," she said with a smile. There was something to be said indeed.
"New Mexico," she repeated. "Never been dere." There was no way she would tell him she could pick out his memories from there in order to find out about the place very quickly. "Imagine dat's more brown den green."
Her interaction with the barista was quick, though she stopped toward the end.
"Can Ah ask a favor?" She offered her wallet to him. "Got a couple of bills, can't tell which one's da ten."
The truth was she had problems with bills, though metal coins were so much easier. She could tell those by size and feel.
