Who: Storm (narrative)
When: Between 4 & 5 in the morning; Saturday
Where: The Haven
What: Storm is affected by the vision causing her to whip up the weather around the Haven in a fantastic manner.
The skies above Haven had been clear of inclement weather as Storm went to bed around midnight, saying good night to the stars and stepping away from the balcony. That balcony was why she didn't move to the Halfax building. The vantage point was one she simply could let go of, even if her heart hurt for her lost friend.
Lunch with Sabbah had done a great deal to start to salve the hurt though. Storm didn't feel as alone as she'd felt in previous times. Now she just needed to grab Wolverine when they both had a free moment so that he could bring her up to speed on what had gone on in her absence. Jubilee was a great source of energy, not so good as a source of information as she tended to color her reports with too much of her own personal perspective of things.
As was her custom, she slipped into bed alone and let herself drift off to sleep. As the psychic wave played merry havoc across the minds of hundreds of people, Storm was as affected as they were. Except for her, it didn't become a simple nightmare. The skies, formerly clear and bright, above the Haven began to darken, swirling clouds solidifying into a ceiling of its own far too close to the roof. The first strike of lightning came without thunder, tearing a gouge in the land near the backdoor. Then the water at the lake was the first to show signs of the rain, torrential disturbing the glass-like surface.
That rain slammed its way across the Haven grounds until it was beating against the windows and the roof.
Storm looked down what seemed a nearly impossible distance to see Wolverine running, some great mechanical monster moving toward them with menace. He was going somewhere, someone else with him. They disappeared into the building and she covered them as best she could, throwing lightning from her hands aware of the burns being added to her arms. Yet instead of the pain becoming debilitating, she only became angrier.
She screamed with the fury of the elements around her, whipping them further into a frenzy in order to save those who were still there.
Smoke boiled upward, trying to fight the rain in order to rise in the sky, but it was failing.
Outside of the Haven, the weather continued to roar, the windows rattling in their places and portions of the grounds starting to hold water. For an hour, the weather went on with winds howling, beating rain, and lightning which seemed to simply drop on the Haven from a hundred places in the sky at once.
Storm began to wake and as she did so, the weather finally started to subside. By the time she opened her eyes completely there was nothing left behind but a low ceiling of dreary gray clouds for miles around.
