Her reaction caused Gibney himself to start, hopping a good foot back and almost hiding behind the door frame, his eyes wide. He really had not meant to sneak up... it just happened. That whole socially awkward thing again. Heh. He cleared his throat with a rumble and pushed a hand through his long hair nervously as he stepped forward again, trying to give another smile, this one a bit more forced. His heart was still racing in reaciton.
"Uh... sorry..." he muttered, a hint of color on his face as blue cat-slitted eyes flicked over her form. At least the introduction meant that she was not too mad, he thought. "'M Kyle. Or Gibs. Or Wild Child." He shrugged before a more genuine smile came to his face. "Whatever. Heh. I uh... saw you in the meeting..." He bit at his lower lip a moment, sharp teeth visible for a moment before he spoke again.
"I... felt kinna bad for ya. You seemed upset...." Bushy eyebrows knit up as a puppy dog expression pulled at his face, his head cocking to one side, sending wild blonde hair to fall into his face. "I know what that's like. I just wanted to..." He trailed off, waved one hand, shrugged, and blinked. Shit, what was he trying to say? What was he trying to do? He wasn't even sure. Now he felt like an ass. He cleared his throat with another rumble and ducked his head, suddenly very interested in his large, bare feet. "Uh... I'm just... I should prolly go."
