Jamie's answer to the dupe question was a little bit disconcerting β she didn't know the ins and outs of his ability by any stretch of the imagination, but if she read between the lines, it seemed to her that he had no control over them and that there wasn't any way for the team to determine which was a dupe and which was the original Jamie. She would follow the orders of whichever Jamie told them, but she decided that she wouldn't follow them blindly. She hadn't made a habit of questioning orders before; maybe now was the time.
She had lost herself in thought, so when Logan stood abruptly and started to lead them team toward the locker rooms, she was slow to follow him. She watched her teammates stand, catching the note of concern on most of their faces. This wasn't exactly the most inspiring meeting, but no one seemed overly against it. Like Storm (although she wouldn't know this at the time), Kitty trusted the team enough to handle even an awful leader, if Jamie turned out to be one.
As she stood, she heard Kurt's whisper and suppressed a giggle, repeating under her breath, βThe grumpy one.β She had nothing against Wolverine β it was just too easy to take a shot at him. Plus, he wouldn't go home and cry about it.
