Logan's chair made a loud scraping noise as he got up. He did a minor stretch for his back and rolled his shoulders to loosen them. At least now Jamie was getting to the meat and potatoes. Power sets, fighting styles, partnering, teamwork, these were the words Logan wanted to hear from the guy who was their new team leader. He could toe the line, he was good at this. Fuck knows I don't want his job. Best be helpful so he keeps it instead. He was very aware that he couldn't be the current muscle of the team and also be leader. That would never work. Logan had to be free to do what he was best at, which wasn't very nice. It was the proverbial dirty job, but somebody did have to do it. Better me than them.
"All right, ladies. You heard the man. Let's go," he said when Jamie finished speaking, and his usual gruff speech had an edge of determination to it. Just because he didn't want to be field leader did not mean he couldn't be a little bit drill sergeant. Let Madrox play general. He even gave Jamie a little wink to let him know he had his back, then signaled to the others with a shake of the head to get up off their asses and get to work.
