Oookay, seemed the crowd was not so into his friendly little meet and greet. The gruffness in Logan's tone suddenly made the silence feel entirely different. A quick scan of faces and Jamie sighed, nodded and squared his shoulders. The change was quick but visible, out of the charm and down to business. The X-Men were a serious team and he needed to be serious to uphold their... Okay, well. Being his 'charming' self wasn't going to work, so on to another approach.
"Yes, training," Madrox nodded, doing another visual sweep of the room. "I've spent the last few days watching videos and getting to know the fighting styles and powers of you all. It's given me a good overall of the team, I think, and given me a few ideas as to how we can improve. I'd like to hold team practices twice a week, with your regular workouts and power control the rest of the time. I'd like everyone to pair up with a different partner each week during these team practices, so everyone can get a feel for the individual strengths and weaknesses of everyone on the team, how you can help them out, have them help you and develop a strategy for survival. Ideally, no one will ever be in a situation by themselves, having at least one teammate with you is vital and could save your life. Always good to have someone watching your back."
Wetting his lips, Jamie leaned back on his heels and spread his hands again, once more letting his gaze sweep the room. "So, I'd like to answer any final questions you guys have for me, and then we'll suit up and head to the Danger Room. I'm going to have a few dupes running around to keep an eye on everyone and let me see things from a few different perspectives. After that I plan to hit the weight room, if anyone wants to join me." Another quick smile to show that he really did want everyone to be friends, and his expression went more serious again. sure, he was trying too hard, but he really was nervous and trying to make a good impression. Too bad first impressions did not seem to be in his skill set. "So, questions, or are we off?"
