Jean absorbed all he had to offer like a desert soaking up water. With the speed of thought, indeed, she managed to assimilate these new ideas into her own practices. She didn't try and find minds, it was more that she let her conscious lightly brush the surface, the public mind, of those who ventured near and gently redirected them from any curiosity about what was happening where Jean was. It was indeed depressingly easy to do, something she would think on and weigh the implications of later. Jean had a surprisingly ethical streak. But for now all of that took second fiddle to getting through this. Whatever this was.
Reaching out with her telekinesis, Jean gently brought Harrison's body closer thinking that the closer the three of them were to each other, the easier it would be for her to shield the minds of those venturing near. She found it easier to move his dead weight with her mind than she ever would have with her own physical strength. She also thought it gave him more dignity than being dragged through the mud would have.
Whimpering softly to herself, although she didn't even realize she was doing it, she spent the time waiting for this Wolverine cradling the unconscious form of her brother to her chest, rocking slightly as if he were only asleep.
