Bryan figured that, now that it was all official and the tickets had been purchased, he couldn't put off one last goodbye. He had bumbled one at Joshua, who had become a good friend almost overnight, and had officially rendered his resignation as a volunteer for the M-Town clinic to Sabbah. All good people. He had gone around trying to catch everyone he knew, and even sent an awkward email to Frederik letting him now he was already planning on crashing at his place to haunt the famous Monaco beaches when he got bored of house sitting for Reed. Wishful thinking, really. He wasn't really going anywhere without his big bro for a while. He simply wasn't ready for it. There was only one goodbye he had put off as long as he could.
The way he had made an ass of himself in front of Laura the last time they'd accidentally met, he wasn't sure she'd even give him the chance to say anything. In that spirit, the moment he found her, he went right up to her and started rambling without preamble. "Hey," he said, steeling himself for a less than warm welcome. "Listen, before you say anything, I'm sorry I was an asstard the last time I saw you. I think... I think our wires were crossed or something, and I hope we can ignore my bout of stupid long enough to tell you something."
He then blinked at her, his mind momentarily drawing a blank. God, he hated goodbyes. Especially painfully awkward ones with someone he'd accidentally blurted out he liked in the middle of an argument. Yeah, it was the kind of thing that made him fantasize of getting plastic surgery to alter his face and changing his name before going somewhere where no one knew him. Or something like that.
