"I'll be the judge of that," Logan shot back, turning on his stool to face the blond, grinning widely now, which was a sort of poker face. "And who told you I ain't?" The truth was, things had been so hectic lately that Logan hadn't had a good run pretty much since just before Laura went missing. Even after she was found and brought back to the Haven, he had kept finding himself too busy to take to the woods. Truth was, he missed it, but it also reminded him of taking Karr along for a couple of those runs, and felt that it would make his son's absence more concrete when he went. He shook his head slightly at Gibs for calling him on it. This was one to watch out for, this one.
His response to the challenge was instinctive, as a low growl erupted from his throat and past his curled lip, deeper than Kyle's rumble. It wasn't terribly loud, but that low resonance still made the barkeep freeze and the hairs on his arms and the back of his neck stand on end. Ah, instinct. It was a beautiful thing. He then snorted and grinned once more at the retreating feral. "Goddamn pretty boy feral. Git outta here," Logan grumbled through a mouthful of savory wings as Kyle finally left.
