Since his run in with Wanda the day before, Josh's mind had been preoccupied. He'd gone about his tasks but he couldn't stop thinking about what Wanda had said about the Brotherhood. He knew that intrinsically they thought they were doing good. Most of the people in the Brotherhood were good with good hearts. They wanted what was best for themselves, for the people they loved and for their country. It was just that Josh couldn't think that the way they were going about achieving those goals was the best way.
But then again, Wanda was right. The Professor's way was increasingly showing him that that wasn't the best way either. He'd done some asking around and was shocked to find that the Professor wasn't investigating what'd happened to Gibs or who was behind his capture and Lotte's death. Or at least no one knew about any investigations. To give the Professor the benefit of the doubt, it was entirely possible that such investigations were happening behind the scenes. He'd have to ask later.
Josh finished healing the broken bone of a new girl who'd just recently become a mutant and didn't quite have the fine motor skills it took to fly. She kept bumping into things and since she was a new mutant and had only the barest amount of control, she would often find herself floating then crashing to the ground. Such was the case when she broke her arm.
With a grateful smile the girl hopped off the bed flexing her arm and ran off to play, bumping into the door jamb. Josh shook his head and sighed but was still grinning when he turned to clean up after her. Somehow in the fifteen minutes she'd been in the infirmary, she'd managed to knock over three canisters and break a stethoscope. That he hadn't been wearing. And had been locked in a drawer. Maybe that was part of her powers, he wondered. The ability to cause chaos wherever she went.
