The skittish Jamie flushed and glanced warily between the other Jamies seated, but Prime only chuckled. "Hey, you were scary as hell that night. I've never seen a guy so shot up." It was mostly a macho cover, the memory of Logan looking like he did was still enough to send a wave of pure creepage up his spine, but he was not willing to admit that right now. Naaah. Better to play it cool, not that his cowardly dupe was making that easy. At least the other two were better behaved than not. Even if one did like milk in his coffee.
"Raised by scientists turned farmers!" One of the dupes piped up, motioning to the four Jamies sitting. As if that were some kind of parallel to Logan being raised by wolves. Regardless, he seemed to think it was funny.
Jamie shrugged and let out a little sigh as he tried to answer Logan, and did his best to ignore the failed joke of his dupe. "As far as we're concerned, it's all of us. I don't... we don't remember things quite that way. Once I absorb a dupe, I just remember it as me doing it. And," he had to pause and look at the dupes to confirm this, "when they're created, they remember all my memories as if they did them."
The dupes nodded in agreement, though one quipped up, "Even if the stuff you did seemed really stupid." "I'd hit you for that, except moving hurts." "Hah! I got off easy then! ...Ouch. Laughing hurts." "Serves you right."
The food was not an unwelcome thing, and before long, all four Jamies were watching Logan thoughtfully. Nothing like the full English fryer, as Pete would call it, to soak up the booze and grease the stomach. Four sets of green eyes flicked between each other and Logan's plate as each Jamie clearly sized the other up, trying to decide who would get the job of making, or at least finding, plating and heating up food.
"Go get us some." "Me? You're the prime one, which you're so proud of, that makes you like, the caretaker or something, doesn't it?" "I'm the prime one, so I get to live with the headache after I absorb you." "You know, technically we'll remember the headache like we lived it." "If you're ever spawned again." "That sounded like a threat!" "You think? Go make me breakfast." "Or what? You can't control which of us you create!" "No, but I can ask Mr Logan here to growl menacingly at you." "....okay."
Jamie Prime settle back with a pleased smirk as the suddenly very high voiced dupe set to work fixing up four plates of breakfast. "And you," he added, glancing to another dupe. "Get us another round of coffee?" Okay, so he was probably pushing his luck, but he had to try.
