Who: Ruth OT Angel When: Afternoon/Evening; Jan 10 Where: Angel's Room What: Coming to visit after the great Sabertooth fight.
Ruth hadn't outright avoided Angel since realizing she had seen his death. It wasn't really necessary to outright avoid him. He'd been busy dealing with things like Sabertooth and she had been just floating around the Haven trying to keep herself remotely occupied. That wasn't as hard as it sounded, especially not when the little woman Magneto called Mya decided she wanted to dance with her. Just a bit awkward, but it certainly took up a lot of time and kept her from listening too closely to the news of the fight itself. The news channels were still playing clips from it every few hours as if playing it again and again would somehow change how things had gone down. After a while, Ruth had started to avoid the television as well.
Things were easier that way.
Unfortunately, avoiding only worked as long as she was willing to put up with having outside forces dictate her behavior. Ruth Aldine was not the type of person who let other things dictate her behavior or her thinking for long periods of time. It was not in her mental make up to allow other people to tell her what to do or accept that things were already written for her. Probably one of the reasons Fate had dropped pre-cognition in her lap in the first place. She didn't bother doing any kind of extra primping to go see Angel, nor did she really stand on ceremony. He wasn't up to anything, at least not that she could hear, so she knocked, walked in, and found herself a seat on the end of the bed.
"Hear you got yourself some hero scars?" It was more the kind of thing that a guy friend would say, not a girl who was remotely interested in him. It was just one of those jeans and a sweater days, not even a really attractive one honestly, but then again Ruth didn't come from money and had no intention of worrying about her appearance too much.
