One look in her eyes... Who: Vanisher, OTA When: Sunday afternoon, January 2014 Where: Haven rec room What: Ford has at last found someone who understands him The last few days had been anything but happy for Telford. His body ached, stripes of pain running his body in the same pattern as his tattoos, like muscles sore from disuse. Teleporting himself was no effort at all, but he had teleported groups of people across rather striking distances, and his body was protesting. Add to that the fact that the snarling hairy man kept breathing down his neck, talking about making a man out of him and beating the coward out of him. Ugh. No one in this damn place understood him, he was not a coward, he simply saw no reason to risk himself for the well being ungrateful, lesser individuals. He had been forced into taking part in it, now he was paranoid that his likeness had been captured on camera and the authorities would be after him again. The whole world was against him.
He had teleported into town to escape the oppression of the Haven, trying to stretch his legs and clear his mind, that was when he met her. One look in her eyes and he knew she was his soul mate. She was downtrodden and unappreciated as he was, caged like they wanted to cage him, unique and needing and obedient, his perfect partner. For once in his life, The Vanisher had felt the desire, no, the need to help another. He rescued her from the clutches of those who did not understand or appreciate her and teleported them both back to the safety of the Haven, holding her close in his arms.
The cat was hideous to the mind of most anyone else. A smoke Persian cat with huge, blank, usually hooded orange eyes, a flat face and a seemingly permanent scowl on her face. She settled across his shoulders, fluffy tail falling down over his chest, purring loudly and looking as pissy and lazy as The Vanisher usually was. Ford settled into an arm chair in the rec room, sinking his fingers into the soft, fluffy fur at her cheek, enjoying her pleased purr at the attention. Suddenly life did not seem quite so miserable. Still miserable, but not quite so much so. At least he had a soul mate, now he simply needed to pick a name for her. It had to be elegant, beautiful and perfect as she, it was not a name which was going to come easily, so he was in no rush to pick it. For now he would simply enjoy her company.
