Scott had a decent morning, but feeling a little hungry, he decided that he felt like heading down to the kitchen. So, he had showered, shaved, and got himself dressed to feel normal even though it was still so strange to feel 'normal' again. Opening his door, he hadn't been looking down when he accidently stepped on the box. Scott hadn't completely stepped on it, but stopped as his foot actually felt a strange pressure under his shoe.
Taking a step back, Scott looked over at the box quisitively as he crouched down to look at it. He didn't know what to think or what it could be. The way he was intently staring at it, someone might have thought he was trying to dearm a bomb. Which wire wouldn't blow him up and all that? But Scott was lost on why there would be anything in front of his door at all. Should he take it? Should he leave it? Had this really been meant for him?
Peeking out down the hallway, he noticed a few other doors with boxes and wondered what this was all about. Finally, after a few moments, he finally brought the box into his room and closed the door. Setting it on his bed, he just kept staring it over, uncertain about the box. Too many unanswered questions that lead him to finally pulling it open.
Seeing the picture of Gabe, Scott was a little awestruck. It hadn't taken him but a few moments to figure out who it was. It had been a long time since he had seen Gabe, but figuring out who he was was no harder then pegging Alex out in a crowd. Studying the picture though, he noticed he had cracked the lower right edge of the glass in the frame. Didn't that just figure? Yes, he guessed this was Alex's doing, seeing as who else would bother to give him such a gift especially without at least some sort of consent of Alex and not many here seemed to know Scott. But Scott had already cracked an actual gift from his own brother of their brother and he just felt like an ass.
Placing the picture on his nightstand, Scott laid down on his bed and just stared at the ceiling, no longer hungry.
