The affection felt a bit odd for a few reasons. First of all, it had been so long since anyone had been genuinely affectionate towards Laura, so it wasn't something she was used to. 'Special' patrons at Camelot went through fake affections when she entertained them in the back rooms, but she knew that was all bullshit. Nothing in that place was genuine. And second of all, it was Logan who was being affectionate. The older feral didn't exactly scream affection when you looked at him or talked with him, so one could imagine how strange this was for Laura.
Her eyes continued to stare at the mansion even as Logan spoke up again, but she could feel his eyes on her. She wasn't necessarily angry with him anymore, but she was still annoyed at how he had reacted upon discovered that she worked at Camelot. Once he was done talking, she turned toward him with some of that annoyance on her face. "I'm not mad, but I did not like what happened at Camelot. You didn't have to go all apeshit like that. I'm not a helpless little child and I don't appreciate being treated like one." Laura paused for a moment, knowing that he probably didn't like hearing this, but he did ask her to tell him when he did something wrong. "And for the record, Paulie asked me to go back, but I said no." Laura had a feeling her father would be thrilled at that.
Laura's eyes turned up towards the mansion once more as she shoved her hands into the front pocket of her hoodie. Upon arriving at this place, she never would've imagined that she'd finally meet her biological father and feel a sense of belonging with him. "Can we go inside?" she asked softly. "I'm actually getting kinda hungry.."
