Laura had no doubt in her mind of the validity of his words. And she didn't even have to look into his eyes to know of all the emotion behind them. Her own brows furrowed slightly, feeling a similar lump form in her throat as he put an arm around her and held her to his side. She was able to relax a bit more now, feeling the sense of pack for the first time in her life. "It doesn't matter if you think you're not gonna be a good one.. the fact that you want to be my father is enough."
And yes, saying that she and Karr didn't get a long was a bit of an understatement. He was definitely a crass little asshole, but nevertheless, she didn't expect Logan to turn his back on him for that. Laura looked a bit displeased as he mentioned her half-brother's name, but she let Logan say his peace without any interruptions. "I think I can be alright with that. But I'm keeping my last name." A tiny smile spread across her features as she let him hold her close, the feeling of family that she had missed coming back to her once again.
