Had Nate been awake, he would have frowned at the vaguely contradictory images he could feel broadcasting from Jean's mind, especially when she spoke of this lover, Eddie. It was like the mere thought of him made the images ripple, like a television set that can't quite tune to the right channel. He took the rest of the information in stride, echoing Jean's desire to know more about this other family they hadn't known about. Her questions broke him out of that slight funk.
"I am at a place called The Haven. I had lost my body on Black Friday but my consciousness was alive, like when we first touched minds, and then I came to be here, where there are so many other mutants in one place, and the Professor, who is so kind and knows soul-minds and astral selves and wants to help all of us be safe," Nate rambled, like he was wont to do, strings of images of his arrival at the Haven in a lightning display, of all the people he had met and who had made friends with him, and all the glorious sights there were to see in the upstate New York property. He even let slip a few of Rascal being sweet to him and their first kiss, which was totally unintended.
A wave of longing, of really wanting to connect to this sister he didn't know he had washed over him and joined the feedback loop with Jean's mind. "I wish you were here too. I am happy here. Are you happy?" he asked, although he already sort of knew the answer to that.
