Laura was relieved to hear that it was indeed Logan on the other side of the phone call from all the loud cursing, but that relief was suddenly gone when Warpath confirmed that he hadn't heard the name. She stared at him blankly for a moment, feeling like there was a brick in the pit of her stomach before she turned to look at the road ahead. The fact that he didn't know of Counterfeit was a very bad thing right now. As far as she knew, that meant that he was gone.
Her eyes stared absently out the front windshield now, her face devoid of any emotion. It was ironic that Warpath had relayed that she wasn't a trauma case just seconds before because now she was suddenly quiet. None of his other words were registering with her because all she could think of was how she had failed and how this whole mess had been her fault. Laura didn't even notice the whole 'we can go back' thing. She had failed miserably.
