In all her time in this facility, she had never seen another mutant. Not since she last saw Bryan. Unless the people that were experimenting on her were also mutants, but she highly doubted that with the way they looked at and spoke about her. Laura shuddered to think about another mutant doing this to their own kind. It was cruelty at its worst.
The blasts seemed to be getting closer and closer with each second and Laura continued to struggle against her the straps that kept her bound to the bed. She couldn't be completely sure of what was going on, but from the sound of the blasts, someone was blowing the doors open. Why? She had no idea, but it didn't make her feel at ease at all. Laura had lost hope of being rescued long ago.
Once the blast hit her own door, she flinched and thrashed around even harder than before, the binds digging into her skin, opening up new wounds where old ones should have been. Thanks to her healing factor, the old ones closed up and left behind no scars. Her eyes widened as she saw a tall, imposing man walk into the room and she automatically assumed he was just another guard. "Get the hell away from me!" she screeched, unsheathing her new metallic claws. "I'm not going anywhere with you."
