Reed was always angry with Bryan for the shit he pulled with women, but in the end, Reed figured he was better off. Any woman who would ditch a guy for his brother wasn't worth keeping. Good riddance. That sort of reasoning helped ensure the brothers stayed friends and moved past all their fighting. Besides, it was a little brother's job to be a pain in the ass, just like it was a big brother's job to come to the rescue no matter what.
Logan's reassurance wasn't really needed right now. Reed felt confident they were going to be just fine, despite his brother's injuries, because they were all together and headed back to the haven. The healers would fix Bryan, or at least get him on the road to good health, and Reed had nothing better to do than look after his baby brother.
Turning around in his seat, Reed put his hand on Bryan's knee. "I'm sure you tried, Bryan, and she's probably being held somewhere just like you were. We'll find her." The words were meant to give hope to Bryan and Logan both. "She's really strong, smart too. She'll hang on until we find her."
