Reed didn't know much of anything about the war among mutants. All he knew was his brother was still missing, that sleep was a foreign concept currently, and that if he didn't do something soon, he'd go crazy. Reed was restless to the point of madness. The whole purpose behind coming to the haven was to get away from the threats facing Bryan, but the younger brother had never been in more danger. Reed had to find a way to fix this, though he didn't even know if this mission was of the rescue or recovery variety. It was entirely possible that Reed would find his brother's corpse.
He tried not to think about that, but it really was impossible to not let his mind wander into such dangerous territory. The recent lack of sleep didn't help matters. He'd had a lot of time to think, and that was what Reed did best. His brain could conceive far too many terrible scenarios. But while his mind was busy, Reed's mouth remained mostly motionless. It seemed the best course of action, especially given his current company. Logan was a man of few words, and Reed respected that. He also felt a sense of camaraderie, albeit a somber form, since Logan was searching for a family member as well. Logan could understand Reed's distress to a degree, even though Logan hadn't known Laura all that long, she was his daughter, and that was a strong bond regardless the amount of time they'd spent together.
When they arrived at the hospital, Reed looked at the building with uncertainty. "Do we take weapons in there?" He wasn't sure what to expect, and Reed had to trust Logan's instincts on this one.
