Karr visibly braced when Logan came closer, it was just instinct, his breath held when something was extended towards him. "Huh?" He asked oh so eloquently as he reluctantly dropped the duffel bag and took the crumpled papers. Brows knit over his eyes, he scanned the note, which was about as helpful as Logan was currently being. What the hell was this? He pushed the note aside to look at the papers... and froze. Adoption?
He held his breath for a long moment, staring at it trying to decide if it was some kind of joke. He finally let out a puff of air and looked to the elder, confusion pulling lines across his face. "Whut?" Eloquence, once again. "I don' get it... I'm eighteen..." He was pretty sure this was just something that kids did. He didn't need a guardian and he sure wasn't going to be sticking around here because of words on a damn sheet of paper.
That did not mean that the effort had not somehow touched that hard, cold little black thing that served as his heart. Logan... wanted him? Why? He really did not understand. No one wanted him. Ever. He licked his lips and quickly put his eyes back on the paper, better than staring at Logan and letting the man see the hints of moisture around their edges.
