Karr was focused entirely on the actions of his hands a Logan spoke. He was avoiding eye contact, and with damn good reason. As tension-filled as the room was and as feral as both of them were, eyes narrowed just a little too much, the wrong glance, it could result in an explosive and bloody fight. One Karr was sure to lose. Not that he would not give it his best, but Logan was his better. Better powers, better trained, just... better. It pissed the younger off to no fucking end.
All at once, the emotions radiating off Logan changed. Karr had scooped up another fistful of clothing and literally dropped it at the words of the elder. There was a brief moment where he stood, stunned and still, but it was likely enough for Logan to see it. No, these two were surely getting no awards, neither for elegance nor for communication. Logan had just called him a man. Had just given him permission to go... Karr was stunned.
That damn knot returned to his throat, though now it felt different somehow. He was so used to everyone telling him who to be, what to be, trying to shape him, mold him, break him, change him, better him... he honestly could not remember the last time someone just let him be himself. Granted, Karr was nothing good, so it really was no wonder no one wanted to just let him be. Still, it struck a cord. Something deep.
"...I gotta pack," Karr rumbled, scooping up the dropped clothing. While he was trying his best to be gruff, Logan would likely recognize why he was avoiding sitting or looking at him. It was not his usual anger or stubborn rebellion. This time it was emotion, something raw that he was not at all used to feeling.
