Madrox was shaking his head as Wisdom went on, wincing as those hands bit into his shoulders, trying to keep from making too much of a sound. "Pete... the world isn't perfect. Shit happens. I don't know why you're..." He trailed off when Wisdom at last said something that made sense. Storm. Oh. Shit. Okay, that explained quiet a lot. He sucked in a slow breath and watched Wisdom pull away and steal a bottle from a highly indignant dupe. He hung back and watched, ignoring the protest of the bottle-less dupe. The other dupe read the writing on the wall and capped his bottle, resigning himself to being re-absorbed.
Sure enough, after a long pause, Jamie crossed the room, absorbed both the dupes, than sat himself down beside Pete. There was really not much to say just then. Concern and understanding were written clearly across Jamie's tight face as he watched the spy. At last he lifted a hand, setting it onto Wisdom's shoulder, nodding. "I'll do everything I can to find her and get her back." He meant it, he was going to help. No sense in apologizing or trying to soften things. Wisdom was Wisdom, and he was not about to let himself off lightly regardless of what Jamie said. At least he could know that he had a partner in his quest to set things right.
