Kurt had a truly amazing balance, and while his position looked precarious to most anyone else, he was entirely comfortable in such a position. He was able to maintain such a pose for quite a while under normal circumstances, however this was not a normal circumstance. Kurt's body was still recovering from the exhaustion of his injuries and he was still learning his balance with his tail. The tail was very new and right now was causing more problems than it was solving.
"Hmm?" Kurt hummed and turned his head when a new sound caught his attention. Unfortunately, his tail also decided to swing widely, which completely threw his balance off. Yellow eyes snapped wide as his arms windmilled at his sides in a furious attempt to regain his center. His tail lashed this way and that, overcompensating as he had yet to fully learn how to control it. The struggle against gravity lasted for only a few seconds, but surely seemed longer. In the end, gravity one and Kurt went crashing down upon the chair, which tipped backwards, leaving Kurt on his rump half on the chair and half off with his legs straight up in the air and his tail tip twitching in annoyance.
"Well," he muttered in a breathy tone colored with a light German accent. "That was less than impressive."
