Josh had had his feet up playing on his Nintendo DS when all hell had broken loose in the infirmary. For the past three hours he had been running around with calm but rushed precision, healing those that were urgent but not life threatening just enough to ease their pain and stop the swelling/bleeding/etc. Luckily most of the injuries were relatively minor; broken bones, cuts, things like that.
Until a familiar furry blue figure came in, prone on a gurney. There was so much blood even Josh with his gold skin had to blanch. That lasted a moment, less then Josh was on Kurt, checking his pulse (weak and thready) and he was already cold. Shit shit shit. Lifting Kurt's shirt he saw three ragged claw marks with part of bone still stuck in a rib.
Josh's jaw clenched. He knew where those claw marks had come from. Shaking aside his disappointment, he nodded to his old roommate. "I'll take care of him," he murmured then closed his eyes, laid his hands on Kurt's injured side and went deep inside himself.
Adrenaline was pumping because he needed to do this right and he needed to do this fast. For Faith as much as Kurt. With so much excitement coursing through him, he had a tendency to over heal. The warmth of his hands spread through out Kurt, warming what he'd once felt cold. Deep inside the furry blue mutant's body, Josh was pinching off veins, encouraging new ones to grow, knitting torn muscle, smoothing out bone, wriggling out that piece of foreign matter, stitching up skin and encouraging blood to start producing faster to make up for what was already lost.
