EPILOGUE: Anyone still standing . . . POLARIS / WOLVERINE / HAVOK / BLACK DOG / SHATTERSTAR / RICTOR
After Reaver ran off to do whatever it was wayward ferals do, Polaris eventually ran into Havok. Or more accurately, she saw Havok and ran after him, since he was following Wolverine. No sooner had she spotted her team leader than Shadowcat was calling after her with news of Storm being taken. She reasoned that Abaddon, the intensely unpleasant feral woman she'd met must be with the Brotherhood then, then replied to Kitty to keep up, because they should stay together, explaining she'd seen Havok and they should catch up with him before going back for Storm.
When she did catch up with Havok, he might have just been hailing her saying Wolverine was down for the count. There was no way any one person could carry Logan as dead weight, what with his adamantium skeleton, but Polaris owned magnetism, so she explained Storm had been caught and used her power to move Logan while Havok took point. They would ask Shadowcat to lead them back to where Storm was taken, but would not find her or any traces of that cage by the time they went back. With Lorna's powers devoted solely to moving their incredibly heavy clawed feral, who was currently down for the count, the X-men retreated until they could get reinforcements.
Worthy of note was that by the time they had found an unconscious Logan, Black Dog was nowhere to be found either. Perhaps he had fled after the crazed Rogue made her exit, or perhaps he had been taken as well.
In another part of the facility, Rictor would finally catch up with Shatterstar. As they would get no response on their comm from either Rogue (who was in the hold of a Wolverine-style berserker rage and would likely not even hear the comm if she even had it on at the time), nor Black Dog, they decided to retreat and regroup before going back for their teammates. Abaddon was long gone as well, however, so it was down to just the two of them. Severely demoralized, Shatterstar brought Rictor, the only person remaining of his team, back to Omega Base.
Suddenly, splitting their forces between their two leaders didn't sound like such a great idea, however both Magneto and Xavier would continue to hold sway over their respective teams of mutants. By the time the Brotherhood and the X-men were able to come back with reinforcements, the facility had been stripped down to the walls and was now well and truly deserted. With Logan unconscious and the rest of the ferals scattered to the winds, there wasn't even anybody to try and pick up a scent.
