Storm/Shadowcat/Shatterstar
Shatterstar took two hits of the darts, but he wasn't worried. They mostly affected powers per se, like the one he never used that allowed him to send concussive shock waves through matter, preferably metal, like his blades. They would also curtail some of the enhanced reflexes and agility he possessed, and his moderately powerful healing factor, but wouldn't alter his physiology, so he still had his hollow bones and all the strength, agility and dexterity his incessant training had earned him. This was precisely why he refused to depend on powers when training for combat. One never knew when those powers might be unavailable.
When the gate started sliding down, he made a split second decision. He wasn't going to be helping anyone if they were all trapped, so he threw himself forward and literally slid over the floor, rolling the rest of the way outside the caged area. That left only Storm in the trap. "I am sorry," he told Ororo, with the slightest nod, even as he pulled out the darts that had actually penetrated his uniform. "Your teammate will get help for you. I must press on," he even offered as explanation and apology and, with a short gesture of salute to Shadowcat, he sped away deeper into the facility, barking into his communicator.
"There are traps everywhere. Power suppression darts, electrified cages, sliding doors. All teams, proceed to evac point. Watch your step! Bad intel, mission fubared!" he threw in last, an expression he had heard one of the old soldiers at the Haven use once, and which he had made Rictor explain to his satisfaction.
Effed up beyond all recognition was a fitting description for this operation, which was supposed to be a fairly simple snatch and grab, and had resulted in outright desertion on Abaddon's part, the other teams apparently running around like this place was a big contrived maze, no results and a clear and present danger of being caught. Clearly they hadn't even gotten the correct floor plan. This was an unmitigated disaster.
Star hated this, he hated quitting. He was a press on and conquer type of guy, but he was in charge of all these people, and so he had to filter everything through the lens of the greater need. Shatterstar was a fantastic soldier, but he really wasn't taking to leadership very well.
