Re: X-Men Team 3: Polaris/Reaver/Abaddon
Talk about adding insult to injury. Could this truly be Wolverine's son? Aside from their obvious follicular and feral resemblance there was absolutely nothing they had in common that Lorna could discern. Okay, so maybe beer, or was that just Logan? Nah, she'd smell alcohol on this little hellbeast's breath and sweat first thing in the morning when coming in for X-men training, like he'd been on a bender all night and just showed up to train like that.
And now they were comparing claws? If this wasn't a potentially deadly situation, it surely would have been ridiculous enough to be funny. Lorna's eyes began to glow as anger fueled her mutation further. Rivets nuts, bolts and screws began to rattle and vibrate around them. To her credit, she managed a believable deadpan when she said, "Wow. You two really deserve each other."
Polaris made two of her knives fly out of their sheathes, one stopping just between Abaddon's eyes, the other less than an inch from Karr's crotch. "Enough! You're gonna tell me who you are and what the hell's going on here. But first things first. Do you know where the captured mutants are being held?" Lorna set her jaw. There was no hesitation in her eyes, even though she wasn't really about to kill someone in cold blood without a damn good reason, but Abaddon didn't need to know that. At least she smelled convincingly determined.
