Re: [Comm goes live]
"Oh yeah, my home was amazing. White picket fence and all," Ric deadpanned as his eyes shot this way and that. He was not the only one who felt something was off, that was not a good sign. "Maybe some other time. Over a beer." He added that last part with feeling, no way he was talking over his old life without some alcohol to grease the wheels. He nodded at Nik and pocked the inducer when it was handed to him. He rather liked the idea of having the big, black-furred feral near him, might just scare off a trouble maker or two.
Then the comm cracked at him and Ric's lips pulled into a sharp frown. "Shit," he snapped, feeling his face flush slightly with rage. Ric nodded and pulled out the recently pocketed image inducer, tossing it towards Rogue. She needed to hang on to it just in case Nik needed it later, in some off chance. "You two keep looking, I've got to go get Star." He had no intention of leaving the redhead on his own. Not when this felt like a set-up. "Keep your eyes open, something's off here." He gave them both a firm nod before he turned on his heel and went sprinting through the warehouse in the direction of the west entrance. "Star, I'm coming," he spoke into his communicator. Anyone involved was welcome to argue, but Ric was not going to stop long enough to listen or allow his mind to be changed.
