There was a low noise of acknowledgement from Nik at Rictor's words, but the feral didn't seem much prone to talking. At least at that point. Though as they continued moving he glanced back at Rogue once more, speaking up more for her benefit than anything else. "Taking off the image inducer." And assuming no one objected to such a thing, he'd pull it off and hand it to Rictor.
His own uniform mainly consisted of shorts. Didn't need much else in this form, and it was simply easier for him to drop to all fours as they moved in the semi-confined space. Hopefully his appearance wouldn't startle Rogue too much, but surely they'd warned her about him.
And then Star's voice came over the comm, and Nik's lips pulled back from his teeth in a silent snarl for a moment. "What are the odds we are all here, in a place that smells empty..." Trap was definitely the word in his mind. "We should find them. Strength in numbers." He didn't see that much difference between who they were now and who they had been. The X-men were old friends, allies. And they just might have a common enemy here.
