Re: Team 2: Rictor, Rogue & Black Dog
"An open sign would be fucking fantastic, not gonna lie to you," Ric murmured as he moved forward, trying to keep his eyes and ears pealed. Nik's words caused a firm frown to settle upon Ric's lips as he shook his shaggy head. "There's got to be something here. He issued a heavy sigh, frustrated at how poorly things were going already. "Let's keep moving in, keep your nose open, huh?" He shot Nik a small grin before his face returned to being serious, brows pulling tightly together over his eyes.
He lifted a hand to press and activate his communicator. "Star, we're in. Nothing's here, Black Dog isn't catching any scents. Anything on your end, amigo?" He really hated how wrong this all felt. He really wished Star was here so he could tell him that he felt a trap, it was not like he could voice such a thing without spooking his teammates? "Kind of reminds me of home," he added after a moment of thought, wondering if Shatterstar would get the message. God he hoped so, it was not like Ric was winning any awards for his communication skills.
He nodded to Nik as his hand fell away from his communicator. "Yeah, if things get ugly, I can at least bust us out of here," he pointed out. He continued to lead the way, not entirely thrilled about that, but hey, someone had to do it. He unwittingly turned their path towards Wolverine and his former teammate Havok as the trio pressed their way further into the bowels of the warehouse.
