Re: X-Men Team 3: Polaris/Reaver
Contrary to what Karr might think, Lorna wasn't showing off here. In fact, the moment she was close enough to the ground on the other side, she let go of her hold on the electromagnetic currents and dropped to a crouch. Lorna knew better than to fatigue her powers early in an op. She followed him the rest of the way on foot, ignoring his grumblings. "Try not to get us killed, okay? Or, actually, try not to get me killed, or Havok will vaporize the flesh from your bones," she ground out at him. Yeahhh, this was fun times. "Watch for guards, and don't wander off," she added tersely.
Lorna raised her hand and used her power to jam the gate's electronic lock and loose the deadbolt. Once inside, she closed the gate again while the numbers on the lock's keypad were all still randomly lighting up. It had taken her months to perfect this particular trick, but she closed her eyes and disabled each camera up and down the hallway nearest to them with a series of localized EMP's.
"We're in. There's nobody here, but internal security was active. This place isn't abandoned," she told the X-teams over the comm.
