X-Men Team 1: Havok, Wolverine
A mission so soon after he'd gotten back was, in a way, welcome. Let him stretch his muscles, get back into practice. Not that he was really out of practice, but still. The team was unsettled and him leading a mission would hopefully help with that, get things back to normal. Yes, it was a bit of a high risk one, but...well, that was the type of thing he figured they'd eventually do. And he'd insisted his people train with pistols as well as their powers. Those power suppressing darts were nasty, after all.
As they moved into the building, peeling off from the others, he gave a few last minute instructions. Mainly things like stay together, when and where to meet back up, and how to stay in contact. And then he'd be leading his partner off in the direction they were going to check. There was a reason Logan wasn't leading the secondary group, and it was mainly that after Laura came up missing, he didn't want the older man to lose it. And was hoping that if Wolverine did, the team leader thing might be able to snap him back at least a bit to sanity. Military types were fairly heavily conditioned in that sense, and he was no exception.
It was a measure of his concern that as he led the way down the hall he actually spoke up, though he didn't take his attention from the area in front of him. "Wolverine, you alright?" Not just physically, but mentally. That was the main concern at this point.
