Team 1: Shatterstar & Abaddon
Since Shatterstar had begun having random recall of the mysterious man behind the curtain, the presence which had invaded his consciousness since back when there were two distinct personas inhabiting his body, which eventually were merged into his present self. A third, a sleeper agent, had existed at one point, quite possibly embedded while he was a prisoner of the Perfect Soldier Project. The same program that apparently was now in possession of an exceptionally powerful telepath, which the Brotherhood of Mutants was here to retrieve. Since the schism that made Magneto leave the Haven, the elder mutant had been missing Xavier's powerful telepathy as a means to his ends. This was a chance to fix that, and this was the Brotherhood's mission.
What they didn't know was that Moreau, who was really Sinister in disguise, had planted that information in Shatterstar's mind. With the earlier implants he had embedded there, he had also left a telepathic backdoor keyed to his own mind. It wasn't hard then to set in motion memories that would translate into Star "remembering" Essex's apartment, where he would end up finding a link to the Perfect Soldier facility they arrived at today. A computer had been found, with a file detailing the former Perfect Soldier facilities by date they were allegedly decommissioned. This facility was apparently the most recently decommissioned, and further intel had pointed to this as a holding facility for powerful mutants. And so here they were.
"Brotherhood, deploy into sub-teams!" Shatterstar spoke clearly into his communicator. His eyes were harder today than they had been a week ago. He was changing. He could feel it himself, and Rictor had certainly made no attempt to hide his concerns about this fact. But that wasn't important right now. They had a mission to complete. "You have your orders. Spread out and find the telepath. Everything else is secondary. Once we have secured the asset, feel free to liberate any other mutants you find. Remember: lethal force is your very last recourse! I repeat, avoid use of lethal force whenever possible," he said, giving his teammate Abaddon a stern look. He had assigned himself to her this time around. After Scion's poorly explained departure from the team, Shatterstar wanted to keep a closer eye on the abrasive female.
