Once Logan picked Lotte up, Laura followed them out of the club, silently fuming all the while. She couldn't believe the mess they'd made and all the chaos they had caused. She was not happy about any of this. As her eyes scanned the club, she couldn't see Paulie anywhere, but had no doubt that once he found out it was her father that had caused this, she'd be fired for sure. Goddammit.
Laura slid into the backseat next to Lotte, keeping the girl covered in the tablecloths knowing that Karr would be glancing back, hoping for a free show. Jackass. "The healers at the Haven will take care of you. Don't worry." The reason Laura had kept her job a secret from others at the Haven was mostly because she was a private person. She didn't really share much with people. Regardless, this didn't really seem like the type of thing to share with others and no one ever asked, so why bother telling? She wasn't worried about not being accepted and she was sure that they wouldn't look down upon her or Lotte for how they earned a living.
The tension in the car could be cut with a damn knife and Laura felt bad about subjecting her friend to this. And then Karr had to go and open his foul mouth. The anger was too much to hold back at the moment so instead she lashed out, her fist coming down hard on the back of Karr's head. "If you're gonna keep being a sleaze, keep your damn mouth shut because I don't wanna hear the nasty shit that's going through your mind!" His glare afterwards didn't go unnoticed, but Laura just glared daggers right back. Go figure she'd end up with a socially inept pervert as her half-brother. She'd have no problem putting him in his place if he piped up again and he probably would.
