Kurt nodded, a grave expression on his face at first. His memories of that time were vague, and not anything he really wanted to remember, but the talk soon shifted. At the mention of he being all Faith talked about, Kurt flushed a deep purple, a shy, pleased smile curling the edges of his lips. "Ah... that is kind of her." Yes, he was very smitten.
"Lum...iere?" Kurt asked with a few quick blinks. He had never seen the movie, so the entire reference confused him. He was eager to learn, however. He had much movie culture to catch up on, and given that life at the Haven was not nearly so demanding as a circus schedule, he had plenty of time to do so. He simply needed to be pointed in the right direction. "Hah, I can understand the feeling. When the circus first put me in their outfits..." he trailed off and shook his head. Poor religious Kurt, it had taken him quite a while to be comfortable in the skin tight acrobat uniforms.
"At first it seemed I could only teleport if I was in great trouble," he tried to explain. He was still coming to understand this ability himself. "I thought perhaps I could not mean to use it, that it only happened. But I am getting better at it!" Having heightened emotions certainly helped the teleport to kick in, but he could mostly control when he ported now. "Und I can decide where I go now. Mostly. No more unplanned trips to the pool, ja?" He chuckled a little more thinly than he intended. He was still not comfortable around the pool. His eyes followed Josh's lead, and he soon claimed a brownie for himself, beaming at the taste of the treat.
