Finally (as in before Rogue could bolt into the night!) the voice came back and said something she couldn't quite hear over the strange voice distortion of the box. Apparently, though, it was something along the lines of 'welcome' because the gates beeped, then opened and someone was there handing them little boxes that would 'guide' them. Breathing a sigh of relief, Lotte grinned at Rogue and bounded inside before they changed their minds, actually skipping past the gates in her excitement.
Of course, that did nothing to make her more comfortable about approaching the imposing mansion itself.
Pausing and taking a deep breath (and checking to make sure Rogue was still coming!) she reached for the handle on the huge, heavy door and pushed it open, smiling at the light and warmth of the entrance hall. Her mouth formed a silent 'wow' at the splendor. And the decorations! And the smell of food, which reminded her she hadn't eaten and her tummy was positively clambering around her backbone for the nibbles she could smell coming from the room that seemed to be hosting the gathering off to the side....
