Haven Halloween Party Who: Open to everyone at Haven or who would have reason to be there What: The Haven throws a Halloween bash When: Saturday, after sundown Where: Various parts of the Haven Large portions of the Haven had been converted into a spooky, festive, fun setting for its residents. Xavier had opened up one of the large rooms off the entry way and had it filled with decorations, lights and perhaps most importantly, food and drinks. It was all too easy to be drawn into the room, dark shadows contrasting with bright lights, and there was much to be done. Music played, tables were set up so guests could sit and enjoy the various snacks and cocktails, large punch bowls for those below the legal age, offered. A large tub in one corner had bobbing for apples and one entire side of the room was set up with a stage for a live band performance.
Just outside, a large area had been set up with a corn maze, it was impressively large and had a large warning sign in front of it, "No powers!" An old tractor had been attached to a flat bed trailer, the trailer loaded down with hay, both loose and small bales, to make for more comfortable seating. A path had been cleared through the woods around the Haven, and some residents had set themselves up near it to deliver spooky surprises to those on the ride. The evening was clear, crisply chilly without being cold. Invitations had been sent out via email and fliers had decorated the halls for the past few weeks, announcing that the party would start after sundown, and that everyone was expected to come in a costume of some sort. The light had faded from the sky and, at last, people were starting to outnumber the carved pumpkins in the main hall.
The Haven Halloween party was officially underway!
[Feel free to start sub-threads and break up into little conversations of two or three people under this. Everyone who would have reason to hear about the party and not be shot on sight is welcome to the party. Have fun!]
